How do I reset my JSU Email Account password?
Note: In order to reset your JSU email account password, you must enroll in password recovery by setting up a 2-step verification using your mobile phone. If you have not done so, please click the following link to enroll.
Steps in resetting your email password
- Go to gmail.com
- Click “Sign in”
- type in your j-number@students.jsums.edu for student email, or type in your j-number@jsums.edu for employee email.
- Click “Forgot Password”
- Follow the prompts to recover your email account.

CHANGE YOUR CURRENT PASSWORD
If you know your current e-mail password, but would like to change it to something new…
Login to your account (use JSU or Gmail).
Click jnum@domain or S-number@domain (upper, right corner).
Click Account.
Click Security.
Click Change password.
Note: The minimum password length is 8 characters.
