SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment) Training was held at Jackson State University's Universities Center campus on June 28th. Drs. Shonda Lawrence, interim chair, Graduate Social Work Programs and SBIRT Principal Investigator; Theresia Ratliff, MSW Field Director; Dr. Dorothy Anderson, consultant; and Ms. Ashanti Dampier, MSW student and SBIRT graduate assistant; were trainers for the workshop.
The training is designed to enhance attendees' knowledge of SBIRT. Participants were field instructors for Master of Social Work students' field experiences.
