The mission of the Jackson State University Department of Journalism and Media Studies is to educate and train students interested in multimedia journalism, media production, and integrated marketing communications. The department is dedicated to the development of journalists and media professionals who demonstrate accuracy, fairness and technological competence.
JOURNALISM BOOTCAMP
This interactive summer enrichment program generates an integrated enrollment pathway for high school students. With the support of professional media mentors, students experience customized instruction to improve academic success and advance knowledge in media production, multimedia journalism, integrated marketing communication, and sports media.
