Writing constitutes a central activity in the professional lives of faculty. To help you boost your writing productivity, reflect on the connection between your writing life and your writing pedagogy, and share the joys and tribulations of writing, the faculty development center is supporting a variety of scholarly writing programs for faculty.
Scholars Write Virtual writing circles can serve any of the functions list above but can do so remotely. The Center has established a Twitter account specifically for ScholarsWrite, and every Tuesday afternoon the account will call on engaged faculty to set asid time for a writing retreat and will allow to share their SWAG goals for the week. For peer review teams, sharing materials via Google Docs is a way to meet virtually when the face-to-face writing circle is not in session.
