Designed for new and aspiring principal investigators, this workshop demonstrates how to successfully set-up and manage all aspects of federal and foundation grants. Successful grant managers and personnel from Grants and Contracts will address the following topics:
- * Organizational requirements for solid grant management
- * Roles and responsibilities of members of a grant management team
- * Pre-award activities that establish solid foundations for your grant
- * Essential post-award functions involved in start-up, operation and closeout
- * Steps to take to ensure compliance with funder requirements (including policies and circulars)
- * Critical aspects of managing grant finances
- * Procurement and disposition of property
- * Determination and management of indirect costs
