We are excited to announce that JSUOnline students are now eligible to receive the Summer 2021 Get Ahead Grant! This opportunity is available to current undergraduate and graduate students who completed coursework at JSU during the Spring 2021 semester.
Funding is provided through federal Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds, or HEERF, which was established in March 2020 as part of the $2.2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, or CARES Act, approved by Congress.
Who is eligible to receive the Get Ahead Grant?
- Current JSU students (must have been enrolled and completed coursework during the Spring 2021 semester)
- Graduate and Undergraduate students in traditional and online academic programs (JSUOnline included)
- Thesis and Dissertation courses are not eligible
- Must be a United States Resident
What does the grant cover?
Tuition for up to six undergraduate credit hours per summer session
Tuition for up to six graduate credit hours total, due to an 8-week course format

When is the Deadline?
The Summer School 2021 Get Ahead Grant Questionnaire must be completed by May 26, 2021.
