Ms. Courtney Jones, a proud native of Jackson, MS, holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics
from Jackson State University. After graduating, she began her teaching career at her former
high school in the Jackson Public School District. While teaching, Ms. Jones continued her
studies at Jackson State University, earning a Master of Arts in Secondary Education with a
Mathematics minor. She further advanced her education at Mississippi College, obtaining an
Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
After nine years with the Jackson Public School District, Ms. Jones transitioned to Republic
Charter Schools as a Mathematics teacher. She then expanded her expertise as a Mathematics
and Educational Consultant, supporting districts across Mississippi in roles such as New Teacher
Mentor, Algebra Coach, and Tier 2 Interventionist. Currently, Ms. Jones is an Education
Coaching Specialist, focusing on professional development to enhance student growth, promote
asset-based learning approaches, and ensure equitable outcomes.
Ms. Jones is in the dissertation phase of her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Belhaven
University. She also offers tutoring and professional development services as a leadership and
instructional strategist, guided by her motto: “Your Problem is My Pleasure.” As an Adjunct
Professor at Jackson State University, Ms. Jones is dedicated to making meaningful contributions
to her community.
