The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is a student-led organization within the Department of Housing & Residence Life. RHA is dedicated to enhancing the on-campus living experience through student advocacy, leadership, and engagement.

RHA organizes campus-wide events, community-building activities, and planned trips for all residential students. The organization also provides valuable leadership opportunities for students looking to make a positive impact in their residence halls. RHA is led by a dedicated Executive Board of student leaders committed to serving the JSU residential community.

Preamble: We, the residents of Jackson State University, in recognition of the need for a united voice within our campus housing community, do hereby establish the Residence Hall Association. In pursuit of academic excellence, community engagement, personal growth, and student empowerment, we strive to enhance the quality of life within our residence halls.With dedication to the Tiger spirit and a shared responsibility to our peers, we affirm this preamble as the foundation of our mission to serve, represent, and elevate the residential experience at Jackson State University.

Purpose: The purpose of the Residence Hall Association at Jackson State University is to foster an inclusive, respectful, and vibrant residential environment that reflects the values and traditions of the university. Through collaboration, advocacy, leadership development, and meaningful programming, RHA strives to create a home away from home where every student feels heard, supported, and inspired.

RHA Executive Board: The Residence Hall Association, representing the residential community of Jackson State University, is committed to embracing individuality through learning, understanding, and mutual respect. The Executive Board promotes tolerance, integrity, and unity among students, while upholding the values and traditions of JSU.

Hall Councils: Hall Councils play a vital role in supporting residential communities by planning activities, events, and initiatives that align with the mission of the Residence Hall Association (RHA). Their goal is to help build strong, connected communities where students feel a true sense of belonging and pride in their campus home.
