Enrollment & Payment Requirements
- Must be enrolled in 12 credit hours to remain in student housing
- Spring 2025 class registration should be completed during designated enrollment period
- Student account must be paid in full by December 7, 2024
- If Unable to Pay:
- Remove all belongings
- Return room key(s)
- Complete a Hall Release Form with your Community Director
- If Unable to Pay:
If your balance is paid off over Winter Break, you will be permitted to come back to campus housing but it is not guaranteed, you will return to your same room assignment.
Fall Closing 2024
The following residence halls close for winter break: Alexander East & West, Campbell College North, Campbell College South, Dixon, Stewart, Transitional, One University Place, Walthall Lofts and The Courthouse.
Buildings close: Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 12:00 pm CT and Re-Open January 8,2025 at 8:00 am CT
Finals Week is December 2-6, 2024. Students should plan to complete the checkout process 24 hours after their last final or by Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 12:00 pm CT, whichever comes first.
All students must complete the following steps when leaving for winter break:
- Schedule a checkout date/time with staff
- Remove all items from the floor
- Unplug ALL appliances (including mini refrigerators, which should be defrosted)
- Remove and dispose of all items in refrigerator/freezer
- Remove all trash from the room and dispose in the appropriate trash receptacles
- Clean counter tops, bathroom, common spaces and assure space is swept and mopped
- Take any personal items that you may need over break
- Turn off the lights
- Properly check out with Housing staff before departure and return room key(s)
Students who will not be attending JSU for spring semester should meet with their Community Director to complete a Hall Release Form and return their room key(s). These individuals are expected to be moved out no later than Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 12:00 pm CT.
