If you have ever pondered the relationship between our legal system, a free press and human rights, this session was for you. The dynamic discussion on March 18, 2022 explored the relationship between journalism and human rights in Alabama, Mississippi and South Carolina. Speakers included Mark Potok, Director of the Southern Poverty Law Center; Jerry Mitchell, founder of the Mississippi Center for Investigative Reporting; and Brett Bursey, Director of the South Carolina Progressive Network and Equal Justice Initiative.
