Appointments Can Be Scheduled Through Q-Less
Appointments can be scheduled through Q-Less for students needing financial aid or business office assistance. The following steps will ensure students are able to schedule appointments and be serviced by a Financial Aid or Business Office Counselor:
- Students will set up an appointment with a Financial Aid Counselor through Q-less by clicking the following link: https://kiosk.qless.com/kiosk/app/home/17713.
- Students will select to join the Financial Aid queue.
- Students will be placed in line through Q-less.
- Students are notified of their estimated wait time via text.
- At the student’s appointment time, the student will receive a call from a Business Office or Financial Aid Counselor.
- A Zoom meeting can also be made available. The student will be emailed a link to the Zoom Room for a chat with a Business Office or Financial Aid Counselor at their appointment time.

Students seeking federal financial aid are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Jackson State University’s priority deadline is April 15th each year.

CARES Act Emergency Assistance for Students
All documents submitted to the Office of Financial Aid can take up to 21 business days for processing.
To prevent a delay in processing your documents, please be sure to:
- Verify documents are filled completely, legible and signed.
- Check that documents that require a signature have HANDWRITTEN signatures; no typed or electronic signatures are acceptable.
- Verify that all documents contain the student’s name and J-Number.
*Business days do not include the weekends, holidays, and all other unspecified days the university is closed.
