Felix A. Okojie is a joint Professor of Education and Public Health. He served as Vice President for Research and Federal Relations from 1999 – April 2013. He was Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Student Life from 2009 – 2010. Dr. Okojie obtained his undergraduate diploma form Auchi Polytechnic, Nigeria where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in Business Administration. He received a Master of Public Health Degree from Jackson State University, Master of Arts Degree in Medical Sociology and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Administration and Policy Studies form Atlanta University.
Dr. Okojie is also a graduate of the Harvard University’s Institute of Educational Management. Over the past seventeen years, he has served in several administrative, research, and professional capacities at universities and government, including Senior Research Associate at Atlanta University, and Education Technologist at the Mississippi State Department of Education.
As a Certified Research Administrator, Dr. Okojie currently serves on various state and national organization boards including the Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU), the National Academy of Inventors, and Chair of the Researcher Interdisciplinary Journal. He is also a member of the Pi Lambda Theta and Alpha Kappa Delta Academic Honor Societies. Dr. Okojie has over 150 refereed publications and presentations to his credit.
