Biography of Okechuku Anyamele, PhD
Okechukwu D. Anyamele is an Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at Jackson State University in the Department of Economics, Finance and General Business at College of Business. Dr. Anyamele spent a year at American University of Nigeria, Yola while on sabbatical leave as an Associate professor of finance. Prior to Joining Jackson State University in 1996, Dr. Anyamele taught at University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Howard University. Dr. Anyamele has published several refereed journal articles, refereed proceedings, and several chapters in refereed books. Professor Anyamele has reviewed two text books that are widely used all over the World. His research interest covers a wide area as evident in his publications and presentations. Currently he is pursuing research in health related issues and their impact on different households. He is also engaged in research in loan delinquency rates and loan denial rates among different ethnic groups and races in mortgage lending in United States as well as commercial bank profitability in Sub-Saharan Africa.
