MCAT Session
The Scholars academy provides one day workshop on MCAT from 10:00am to 5:00pm free of charge to the students. The workshop is always on a Saturday, to make it convenient for the students to attend. Students from other colleges also attend the workshop. For the College of Science, Engineering and Technology students who plan to go to medical school, the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) and a good GPA are essential for a smooth transition and admission into medical school. The MCAT is one the most challenging part for getting into medical school. It is advisable to start taking the MCAT during a student’s junior year after taking the required courses such as Biology, Organic chemistry, Inorganic chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English and some advance science classes. Volunteering, research, exposure and interaction with the community are highly encouraged.
