The Student Support Services Scholars Academy provides tutoring services to students, both undergraduate and graduate. Graduate students and upper level undergraduate students who have achieved at least an A in related courses, are recruited and assigned times and location for tutoring. Tutoring has been shown to be beneficial to  students in that it has:

1. Boosted the confidence of the  student receiving the tutoring,
2. Improved study behavior and habits
3. Improved time management skills and  broadened students social circles and friends. Also tutoring has created a learning community among students who have common interests in career paths, course requirements and other common beliefs.
