Does my crowdfunding gift count towards Jackson State University’s Annual Fund?
Yes. Your support through the Crowdfunding at Jackson State University platform is an essential component of our Annual Fund at the University.

Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. Jackson State University qualifies as a 501c3 organization, so all philanthropic contributions to the University are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Will I receive a letter of acknowledgment for my contribution?
Yes. You will receive a letter of acknowledgment from the Jackson State University Development Foundation for your contribution within five (5) business days after receipt of
your gift.

What if the project I support does not reach its funding goal?
Regardless of the amount that is raised, all departments will receive credit for ALL funds donated to the project, whether or not the departments reach their funding goals.

Who should I contact with questions about my contribution?
All questions may be submitted to annualgiving@jsums.edu.

When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card charged is processed immediately upon finalizing your gift on the site.

Will there be additional work required from me upon posting my project?
Yes. You will be requested to commit at least one to two days per week assisting with promoting and updating the project page, assisting with videos and other materials, and maintaining contact with donors.

How do I participate as a donor?
Once you have selected the project(s) you would like to support, fill in a dollar amount you would like to give to each project. You can share your support of Crowdfunding at Jackson State University projects on social media, as well as encouraging others to support crowdfunding projects at Jackson State University.

Where does my contribution go?
All gifts to Jackson State University projects are directed to the fund indicated on the online giving form. One hundred percent (100%) of your gift will benefit the program you designate for support.
