JSU Crowdfunding
Introduction
Crowdfunding is the practice of funding a project or campaign by soliciting relatively small donations of money from a large number of people, typically facilitated through a web-based giving site. A successful crowdfunding project not only provides a business with needed cash, but creates a base of customers who feel as though they have a stake in the success of the business.
This proposal applies to the use of Crowdfunding for fundraising projects by Jackson State University Departments as approved by the Vice President for the Division of Institutional Advancement.
The Vice President of the Division of Institutional Advancement must approve all official fundraising projects of Jackson State University.
