The Undergraduate Civil Engineering Program at JSU is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org, under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Civil engineering. The undergraduate curriculum offers two concentrations in “General Civil Engineering” and“ Environmental Engineering”. The General Civil Engineering concentration is designed for students who desire a broad knowledge of the field of civil engineering. The Environmental Engineering Concentration is intended for students who are more interested in Environmental Engineering as a career. Specialized courses in environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, and water resources engineering are offered.
