Jackson State University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
The College of Health Sciences is also accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) which accredits Public Health Programs and Schools of Public Health nationally. Based on deficiencies reflected in the accreditation report, the Council acted to confer probationary accreditation through July 1, 2026.
We remain committed to satisfying all of the CEPH requirements and will be undergoing another review before July 1, 2026. The Communicative Disorders Master of Science degree program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) degree programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
