Deloitte Foundation Accounting Scholars Program

The Deloitte Foundation Accounting Scholars Program is collaborating with 25 colleges and universities across the US to help diversify the CPA profession. Together, these schools and the Deloitte Foundation are providing a limited number of full scholarships (100% of tuition and academic fees will be covered excluding books and living expenses) for selected students interested in pursuing a fifth-year master’s degree in Master of Professional Accountancy for the 2025–2026 academic year.

In the spirit of supporting the diversity of the student population, Jackson State University shall endeavor to consider a pool of students who meet the recipient eligibility criteria listed below that includes students who are from historically under-represented communities or who are first-generation college students, and students who have demonstrated a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and/or who have faced or appreciate challenges faced by members of demographic groups that are disproportionately under-represented in the field of public accountancy in comparison to the general population. This scholarship program can help students meet the 150-credit hour requirement for CPA eligibility.

Interested students who meet the Program’s eligibility criteria below are encouraged to apply to Jackson State University’s one-year Master of Professional Accountancy program that runs any time between June 2025 and August 2026 following the University’s standard criteria and processes for admission, and then apply separately to be considered for the Deloitte Foundation Accounting Scholars Program.

The Program scholarship recipient selection process shall be developed, coordinated, and led by Jackson State University. The University shall consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, or other status prohibited or disfavored by law.
