Cheryl McLemore Hearn is a 1995 graduate of Jackson State University and a 1998 graduate of The University of Mississippi School of Law. She currently serves as a senior assistant city attorney with the City of Memphis Law Division. As part of the Transactional Team of the Law Division, Hearn provides legal services which include, but are not limited to: review and approval of legal documents and agreements submitted for execution by the City Administration; negotiate, review and assist with drafting of various city contracts; provide legal support to various city boards and Commissions; provide legal advice and counsel on special projects supported by the Division of Housing and Community Development; and serves as in-house counsel to the city for review and comment on documents related to municipal bond financings of the city.
Hearn has served on various community boards in Memphis. She is a Life member of the Jackson State University National Alumni Association, Inc., and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is married to Christopher Hearn, and they are parents to one son, Christopher Hearn, Jr. age 12.
