Jerbrina L. Johnson, Esq.

A native of Kosciusko, Mississippi, Miss Jerbrina L. Johnson,  is the daughter of James and Everlena Johnson and currently a resident of  Atlanta, Georgia.  Upon completion of her course of study at Jackson State University with a B.A. in Political Science/Pre-Law (Magna Cum Laude, 2002), Miss Johnson earned a Juris Doctorate in 2005 at The University of Mississippi School of Law.  While at Jackson State University, Jerbrina was an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (Spring 2000), as well as the W.E.B. DuBois Honors College.

After completion of an internship in 2006 with The Georgia Innocence Project, Miss Johnson became a member of The State Bar  Association of Georgia. She established the law firm of J. L. Johnson & Associates, LLC the same year.  Attorney Johnson is a solo practitioner focusing on family law, personal injury and consumer bankruptcy. She also holds the distinction of being admitted to practice in all state courts within Georgia which include the Supreme Court of Georgia; Georgia Court of Appeals; and U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.  She also serves as a certified Guardian Ad Litem representing the best interest of children in contested custody and visitation matters throughout Metro Atlanta.

2019 marks the second year Miss Johnson has been selected as one of Georgia’s Rising Stars by SuperLawyers Magazine.  Each year, only 2.5% of all attorneys in Georgia are awarded this distinction of excellence in practice through peer nomination and an extensive selection process Miss Johnson is also a graduate of the Leadership Academy of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia, a member of the Metro Atlanta Bankruptcy Attorney’s Group, and a volunteer with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation.  Miss Johnson has a strong passion for justice and equality for all.  She exemplifies a giving spirit through her active membership in the Stone Mountain-Lithonia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., as a volunteer judge for numerous high school moot court and mock trial competitions, speaking for Metro Atlanta career day events and community public speaking engagements. Miss Johnson is the granddaughter of the Late Clarence Johnson, Jr.

In addition to zealously championing for the rights of others, Miss Johnson is scheduled to announce a scholarship at Kosciusko High School beginning with the graduating class of 2019. This scholastic award will recognize and honor her mother’s commitment to educational excellence and volunteerism. Additionally, a future scholarship at Jackson State University will be endowed in memory of her grandfather’s entrepreneurial spirit.
